Project Hamsa

Project Hamsa is a limited and rotating collection of handcrafted candles. The hamsa is a powerful symbol in Jewish tradition representing protection, blessings, and good fortune. Half the proceeds from this collection are donated to the Anti Defamation League (ADL). This is done in order to take part in combatting the insidious and vile evil that is antisemitism by spreading light, joy, protection in a spiritual way and donating funds to help the fight in a practical way. Jews make up 2% of the US population but are the targets of about 60% of all religiously motivated hate crimes in the US. I believe It is vital to promote adequate education to raise awareness and enact change in order to combat hate. What is done in the dark must always be brought to the light. This is a problem that cannot be ignored, coddled or swept under the rug. Project Hamsa is my very small part in a much larger fight. Light a candle, embrace the spirit of the hamsa, and join me on my mission to create a more inclusive and compassionate society.
